Act 264 of the 2013 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature requires unclassified employees who earn $100,000 or more annually to provide proof, within 30 days of hire, that they have a valid driver’s license and all vehicles registered in their name are registered in the State of Louisiana. Minimum Education Required:

This applicant must have Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Marketing or related discipline to the teaching assignment. A degree obtained from a College of Business must be accredited by AACSB. If the doctoral degree is in a related discipline, it must be combined with a high level of substantive academic and/or professional engagement activities within discipline to support currency and relevance in the field of teaching. The appointment begins in the fall 2021. ABD’s will be considered, but must provide strong evidence that all doctoral degree requirements will be completed by May 2022.The College of Business seeks an individual with interest and/or experience in teaching sales and other marketing courses, as well as coaching a student sales team. In addition to students competing at various sales competitions, the college hosts our annual Bayou Sales Challenge.

Other Minimum Requirements:

Commitment to effective teaching; A strong record of scholarly publication is required for an appointment at the associate professor rank.

DUTIES:

Service to Department, College, University, and Community: Participate in student advising, institutional committees, and campus/community/professional activities. Participate in program reviews; participate in student recruitment and retention. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.Accountable for ensuring that affirmative action, equal opportunity, and diversity and integrally tied to all actions and decisions in areas of responsibility.

Scholarly Activity: Successfully publish peer-reviewed journal articles and conference proceedings and presentations to maintain academic qualifications.

Delivery of Instruction: 9 hours of Marketing courses per semester. Effective delivery of student-focused instruction both in the classroom and via online coursework is expected, as is continuous professional improvement and accessibility/interaction with students.
