Assistant Professor of Marketing and International Business
Position Description

DOMINICAN UNIVERSITY’s Brennan School of Business announces a search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Marketing and International Business, with a preference for a focus in international marketing, effective August 15, 2021. The anticipated teaching load for this position is three courses per semester. We are committed to hiring, retaining, and promoting a diverse faculty and staff, at levels that meet or exceed that of peer institutions and the national average. to be ethical leaders and socially responsible global citizens. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellent teaching and experiential education at both the undergraduate and graduate levels with students from underrepresented backgrounds.

Required Qualifications:
We seek candidates with a PhD degree in either International Business or Marketing from an AACSB-accredited institution. Highly qualified ABD candidates will be considered if it is clear the degree will be conferred by the time the appointment begins. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching a diverse student body at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preference will be given to
candidates whose teaching and research interests are at the intersection of international business and marketing. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate strong interest in participating in Brennan’s internationalization efforts.

Preferred Qualifications:
The successful candidate is preferred to have relevant professional experience. Additionally, he/she will exhibit willingness and high comfort-level with pedagogies supporting face-to-face, hybrid and online modalities. The preferred candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the university mission as well as to developing and sustaining a portfolio of intellectual contributions in the fields of marketing and international business. A record of research contributions commensurate with experience is preferred.

About the Brennan School of Business:
The Brennan School of Business is fully accredited by AACSB-International, and enrolls approximately 400 undergraduate business majors, and 100 graduate business students within the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) Programs.
